Karmen is the most devoted teacher I have ever known. She pours her heart out to her students and not just for their academic well being. When it is cold and a student doesn't have a coat, she gets one for them and wraps them up before sending them home. She hugs her students when they are sad and dances and sings with them when they need a boost. She even fixes hair and bandages wounds!!! In the summer when everyone is out enjoying themselves, she is busy getting her classroom ready for the incoming students so that they too will be excited to start the year. Yesterday when standardized test scores came in, all but one of her 3rd graders scored above average on their tests! She is an extraordinary teacher as well as a loving person. Anyone who has had a child in her class would agree with me as would all of her co-workers and students. I highly recommend that Mrs. Dorsey be awarded the teacher of the month! |
