Mom and I

My mom is spectacular! She is in her 70's. She is always on the road "doing" for others. She is totally awesome. She has great moral character and a big loving heart yet she is firm with people who need a firm hand. My mom picks up prescription medicine for a homeless man and pays for it out of her "fixed" income when needed. She carries anyone in our little church to the doctor or anywhere they need help getting to. She currently helps drive a blind lady and a family that doesn't have transportarion when they have appointments or just need a ride. She volunteers at Catholic Social Services every Wednesday morning. She visits the sick in the hospital whether it be family or just someone she barely knows. She also visits my 93 year old great aunt numerous times each week and takes her shopping a few times a month to keep her active. She carries food to people in need as well as helping out with anything people may ask of her. The list goes on and on....She deserves so much credit but doesn't ask any. She recently told me how upset she was that the church voted to fill up her gas tank once a month! She gives and gives and gives some more. It's well time that she gets some recognition for being such a great mom and mentor. With all of my love for my wonderful mom. Please select her!:-) |
