Welcome to 2012 Mother's Day Essay Contest!
 
How does it work?
Register then write an essay, in 200 words or less, describing why your mother's example towers above all others. Tell us why she inspires you, about the dreams she fostered in you, the love she selflessly gave, and the tears and fears she eased. In short tell us about that rock of strength and compassion you call "Mom."

Can I still play if the contest has already started?
You have until 11:59 pm on Tuesday, May 9th, 2012 to submit your essay. The winner will be selected by WTVY and contest Sponsors, and posted online. The winner will also be announced on-air during all daily newscasts on May 10th, 2012.
